We thouroughly enjoyed our tour of the Wicklow Mountains and surrounding areas. The route, breaks, etc., were great. We would not hesitate to recommend this tour to others. Our driver, Damien O'Brian, was knowledgeable, friendly, and entertaining. We appreciated being picked up at the hotel and the Damien's generous offer to return us to the Regency. The fact that the rugby match at Croke Park was letting out at the same time was not a problem. We were let off only a block or two from the point we would have gotten off the City bus. The taste of Jameson's when we returned to the bus was much appreciated. That was an unexpected surprise and took the chill off a cool, rainy day. Thanks again.

I can recommand this tour to everybody! We had a great day in County Wicklow!
I have travelled to Ireland several times before with my family and we always had a rented car, so I never went on a public bustour. Due to this, my expectations were very high. But this tour was so much better I ever hoped for!
The guide (his name was Damian) told us a lot of interesting things about the places we went and even on the way to the different attractions we visited (Glendalough, Loch Tay etc.) he always had a little anecdote or joke to tell. It was really exhilarant to see the guide having as much fun as we had.
I can not compare the route we went on to the routes other Wicklow Tour- companies take (as I said, this was my first time), but I don't think the other Wicklow-Tour-Buses will take this small and often individual tracks. As long as it was possible to stop, Damian got to a halt and we could get off the bus and take a photo.
Because the weather was a little rainy and misty in the beginning but was supposed to be getting better during the day, Damian planned the route other way around. So we could take a walk at Glendalough in the afternoon in the sun instead of walking around in the rain.
At noon we had lunch at a pub in Laragh; this pub seems to be quite famous for tourists and other Wicklow Bus Tour companies. Therefore it was very crowded; the only thing I didn't like about the whole tour. The good thing was, Damian knew about the other buses and we arrived 10 minutes before all the other buses were there.
Altogether this trip was very wonderful; I especially liked the routes we took, because we avoided the bigger streets and went on a individual and small route. This was only possible because the bus was smaller than the normal coaches (even if it was bigger than I thought). I also liked the warm, friendly and personal atmosphere at the bus; I didn't feel like a tourist who payed his money and then just want to be get rid of.
I definitely would do it again!

Just returned from Ireland and this was by far our favorite tour. It was a full day but it passed in a flash -- we saw so much and it was paced perfectly. We met the driver Martin at 9 -- my dad was astonished we were in a Mercedes Mini Bus!! (very nice!) But Martin was nicer - he was truly the perfect tour guide: knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating and didn't sound like he was delivering a canned speech. Our first stop was in a little port at Dalkey - we stopped for a coffee break and had ample time to browse about and take photos. Then on the road to Wicklow! As we wound our way thru the mountains we made several stops: a waterfall, guiness lake, a whiskey tasting. And each was more amazing than the last! Martin even made a special stop when I requested to take pictures of a big flock of penned sheep we passed. The route we took was so scenic, and we passed very, very few cars. It did not feel at all like a tour... it was more like we were out exploring, except someone else was driving! We stopped for lunch and Martin managed to time things perfectly ... when we arrived we were the first group in the pub, so this gave us extra time to walk about . When we arrived at Glendalough Monastery, Martin offered to give us a brief guided walk, which was very informative. We then had nearly 2 hours to explore on our own. It was a magical, mystical, amazing day. All in all, I have to say this was my favorite day in Ireland... I even liked it better than the Cliffs!! I would recommend this tour group to anyone 100% -- Day Tours Unplugged delivered on every count. A++++

Hey!!! I absolutely loved my day tour to Wicklow and Glendalough. A spectacular day trip! I decided to come to Dublin over my fall break from my study abroad school in Florence. I love Dublin, but I wanted to get out to the country side and see Ireland's natural beauty. So I decided to take the Wicklow Mountains National Park and Glendalough Tour and I haven't been able to stop talking about it! The fact that the group is in a smaller bus made the experience so much better because we were able to go places that big buses couldnt have gone. The landscape I saw was exactly what I was looking for, if not more. On top of that, my tour guide was extremely interesting and kind. He definitely made the trip so much better than it already was with the history and side stories of where we were visiting! I would recommend this trip to anyone who is looking for a relaxing day through the countryside, and ready to see Ireland at its best.

I was trying to decide what tour to book the night before. I couldn't decide between 3 different Wicklow tours including the one my hostel suggested. I am really glad I chose this one! I literally booked the tour the hour before departure and luckily there was room for my sister and me. The bus was extremely comfortable. My tour guide was Damien and he was hilarious. He told us a lot of helpful tips, told us some interesting facts about Wicklow, and information on what tourists should do in Dublin (eat, free rides, etc). Unfortunately, I was leaving the next day so I couldn't exactly do everything he suggested but I wished I had known earlier. Moving on, the Wicklow tour was absolutely beautiful! Despite the heavy winds and rain, I still enjoyed myself. My sister and I were the only ones on our tour who hiked to the Upper Lake and it was definitely worth it. I highly suggest hiking to see that.
